
Shirzad Poushpas said the last flight to return pilgrims will take place on the morning of June 14.
Explaining the process of returning Iranian pilgrims, he said since the start of the operation to return pilgrims on June 11, 47 flights have been operated from Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia, taking about 10,850 pilgrims back home.
Of the total returning flights carried out in Hajj 2026, 20 flights were made to Tehran, 11 flights to the holy city of Mashhad, five flights to Gorgan, six flights to Shiraz and five flights to Zahedan, he stated.
Referring to some delays in a number of flights, Poushpas said although there have been delays in some cases, with continuous follow-up and coordination, the process of return operations is improving, and we hope to see a further reduction in these delays in the coming days.
“According to the planning, the last flight from Jeddah Airport will take place on the morning of June 14, and we hope that all dear pilgrims will return to their families and the Islamic homeland in good health.”
More than 30,000 Iranian pilgrims traveled to the Land of Revelation via 130 flights to take part in this year’s Hajj.
