Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian lauded the efforts of the country’s Hajj officials and those involved in providing services to Hajj pilgrims.

In a message on the occasion of the return of all the country’s Hajj pilgrims, Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the representative of the Leader and the supervisor of Iranian pilgrims, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and the Islamic Republic's Hajj agents in the 2026 Hajj rituals, who, despite the existing concerns, provided worthy and appropriate efforts and services to fellow pilgrims to fulfill this religious obligation and provided them with the conditions to perform the rituals in perfect health, security, and dignity.

“I consider it my duty, while wishing the acceptance of Hajj and pilgrimages for all pilgrims (by God), to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to you, the servants of the (pilgrims), who, despite the existing concerns, worked to fulfill this religious obligation and provided worthy and appropriate services to our fellow pilgrims in the land of revelation, and provided the conditions for them to perform the rituals in perfect health, security, and dignity.”

The president added, “Undoubtedly, the decision of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and his emphasis on undertaking this spiritual journey, as well as his meaningful message addressed to all Muslims participating in the Great Hajj Congress in the first year of his leadership, were among the turning points of this year’s Hajj rituals.”

This year, more than 30,000 Iranians performed the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The annual pilgrimage is regarded as one of the pillars of Islam and the largest act of mass pilgrimage in the world.
