Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Aref said the necessary plans have been made to welcome the guests and arrange their presence at the ceremony.
He honored the memory of the martyred Leader and said the farewell and funeral ceremony is perhaps the most important event of the 21st century.
The people are the main hosts of this ceremony and are on the scene, he said, adding that governmental, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations have also come forward to contribute to the event.
Stating that there is good preparation for holding this ceremony, Aref added that special precautions and arrangements have been made so that crowding and crowd density do not lead to any incident.
“God willing, this ceremony will be held in a magnificent and peaceful atmosphere, observing the safety and security issues of the people”.
The funeral procession will be held for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran on Saturday and Sunday, July 4-5, 2026.

Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred following the launch of the latest bout of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against Iran on February 28.
The aggression that also claimed the lives of senior officials and countless ordinary civilians, triggered Iran to respond by staging at least 100 decisive and successful retaliatory strikes against sensitive and strategic American and Israeli targets. The reprisal prompted the United States to announce a unilateral ceasefire on April 7.
