
The official farewell ceremony began at 6:00 a.m. today, July 4, at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla, with the attendance of an immense and historic number of mourners and supporters from across the country.
People continue to arrive in groups at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla to bid farewell to their martyred Leader.
The atmosphere at the Mosalla is marked by Quran recitation, elegies, and the presence of large crowds of mourners. People from all walks of life and every corner of the country are participating in the ceremony.
At 7:30 a.m. Tehran time, the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was played at the venue, accompanied by the voices of those in attendance.
"We Must Rise" is the central slogan of the ceremony, echoing like a heavenly call throughout this historic day.
A "clenched fist" serves as the official symbol of the farewell ceremony, representing the steadfast paternal hand that never trembled in the face of storms and remained resolute until its final breath.
The public farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader's body will continue until 8:00 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, July 5. On Sunday morning, funeral prayers for the martyred Leader will be held at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in the presence of the public and state officials.
The funeral procession for the martyred Leader and his family will take place in Tehran on Monday, July 6.
The martyred Leader's body will then be taken in funeral processions through Qom, Karbala, and Najaf before finally being laid to rest at the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.
