Al-Khazali: Martyred Leader Was Standard-Bearer of Truth in Our Time
Attending the official ceremony to receive the body of the martyred Leader at Najaf Airport on Tuesday night, Al-Khazali said, "We extend our condolences to all Muslims and free people around the world over this profound loss. We ask Allah to make us among those who avenge the blood of Sayyed Al-Khamenei, the blood of his grandfather Imam Hussein, and the blood of every oppressed person alongside the victorious Imam from the Household of Muhammad (PBUT)."
He added, "Today we receive the pure body in the holy city of Najaf, the land of his grandfather Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and tomorrow all of Iraq will bid him farewell—its Muslims, Christians and Mandaeans; its Arabs and Turkmen; its Sunnis and Shias."
The funeral procession for the martyred Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, is underway in the holy city of Najaf. The procession will continue in the holy city of Karbala on Wednesday afternoon.
Al-Khazali said that "all of Iraq will participate in the funeral of this man, who was the standard-bearer of truth in distinguishing right from falsehood," adding, "Allah will establish the truth through His words and extinguish falsehood, however much the criminals may detest it, and we shall take vengeance upon the criminals."
