Avenge for Martyred Leader Inevitable: Iranian Lawmaker

IQNA – A member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said retaliation for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and other martyrs is an "inevitable duty."

Alaeddin Boroujerdi said US President Donald Trump, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and their "agents" should anticipate acts of retaliation carried out by "the free people of the world."

He further said that "no place in the world, not even the White House, will be safe for criminal regimes that violate international treaties," adding that retaliation against the attackers "is no longer a limited response but has become a global movement."

On Saturday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message, stating that "revenge is the demand of the Iranian people and will certainly be carried out."

The Leader also said that those responsible "will carry to their graves the unfulfilled wish of dying peacefully in their beds."

"The avenging for the martyred Leader and the martyrs on the path of truth is an absolute obligation for all followers of the Velayat and all the free people of the world. Following the message of Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, this retribution has extended beyond the realm of the Islamic world and now encompasses all free human beings across the globe. Therefore, Trump, Netanyahu, and their operational agents must at every moment await the implementation of the hand of divine vengeance by the freedom‑seekers of the world, and understand that in response to the great crime of the century, no place on earth not even the White House will be safe for these treacherous and criminal regimes." the Iranian lawmaker said.

His remarks came two days after the conclusion of funeral processions for Ayatollah Khamenei in his hometown of Mashhad, where he was buried at the Imam Reza shrine following a week of mourning.

According to official data, the funeral attracted an estimated 43 million participants inside Iran and representatives from nearly 100 countries.
