
Al-Sudani warned that the US and Saudi aggression, which is a violation of Iraqi sovereignty and international law, will have consequences, Al-Masirah Network reported.
Al-Sudani stressed the Iraqi government's efforts and commitment to addressing cases through legal mechanisms and official institutions, away from escalating military tensions.
He added though that Iraq reserves all its legitimate rights under international law, especially Article 51 of the United Nations Charter regarding the defense of the security, sovereignty, and health of its people.
Al-Sudani emphasized that any attack on Iraq’s stability is unacceptable and one cannot remain silent about it.
The PMU announced on Wednesday that several of its headquarters were hit in attacks carried out by US and Saudi forces.
According to initial information, the attacks resulted in several martyrs and wounded, in addition to material damage to several buildings and properties belonging to the PMU.”

The statement added that “we consider this targeting a highly dangerous escalation, a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty, and an attack on its official security institutions. The relevant authorities are monitoring the situation on the ground, while efforts to assess casualties and evaluate the damage are still ongoing.”
It concluded that “the public will be informed of the latest developments and official details once the information is complete, through statements issued by the Popular Mobilization Units.”
