Director General of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Organization’s public relations office made the announcement while speaking to IQNA, adding that the last group of Hajjis will leave the holy city of Medina on 8:50 on a Mahan Air fight.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Shahsavari said with their arrival in the country, this year’s Hajj operation concludes.
He said there will be no Iranian Hajjis in Saudi Arabia after the Saturday flight from Medina.
This year, some 64000 Iranian Hajjis went to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj along with hundreds of thousands of Muslims from all over the world.
Every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it must perform Hajj at least once in their lifetime.
