Speaking in a meeting with Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Tunisia, Nasser Al-Mahmoudi lauded Iran for supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation, saying that Muslims must not forget Palestine, IQNA’s Africa branch reported.
He regretted that the issue of Palestine and the city of Quds- the first Qibla of Muslims- have been sidelines in the Muslim Ummah.
This is while in the era of Islamic Awakening the issue of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque should be the top priority for the elites, political parties and freedom fighters in the Arab and Muslim countries, he said.
Al-Mahmoudi further urged that the revolutions in Muslim countries should follow the example of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
He added that the future of the regional uprisings is in danger because of plots by the Western powers and the Zionist regime to deviate these movements.
The Tunisian scholar underlined that something should be done to honor the blood of the martyrs of these revolutions and safeguard their accomplishments.
Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Tunisia Ramezan Golafzayi, for his part, said that defending the oppressed is a human and Islamic duty found in the teachings of Divine messengers.
He also said the power of the Islamic Ummah lies in self-awareness, unity of goals, avoiding discord and confronting the enemies of the Islamic Awakening.
