According to the information website of the Dar-ol-Quran, the programs were being held for 13 days from the beginning of Muharram Month in Tila-e Zainabia, in the western side of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine.
Ahmad Abbas, supervisor of the Quranic delegation, said that the programs included recitation of the 13th and the 30th Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions.
The group also served foods for pilgrims of the Imam’s holy shrine in Karbala and introduced the Dar-ol-Quran and its activities to the pilgrims.
Distribution of Quranic magazines on Ashura and correction of the pilgrims’ recitation of Surah Fatiha and Ikhlas were other activities of the group.
The building on Tila-e Zainabia (the place from where Hazrat Zaynab saw the battle of Imam Husain (AS)) was reconstructed in 1978.
