Seminar on “Peaceful Coexistence from Quranic Perspective” in India

Aligarh Muslim University of India is going to hold a National Seminar on “Peaceful Coexistence in Multi-CulturalSocieties: The Quranic Perspective” on 08–09 March, 2014.

The Seminar aims to gather academics, specialists, and writers to undertake research on issues and problems that threaten world peace and inter-cultural harmony.

The Seminar objectives are to establish world peace by providing correct solutions for problems, to promote peaceful dialogue and harmonious co-existence among all religions and walks of life in India and abroad, to promote human brotherhood among multicultural societies such as India, to avoid hatred, corruption and disorder among individuals, multicultural societies and to identify and promote the message of the holy Quran in the dissemination of a culture of peace among human beings and to draw attention of administrators, organizations, mankind towards Quranic approach to Peace and harmony in multicultural societies.

World peace and human brotherhood in the Quran, Social peace in the Quran, Individual’s peace in the Quran and Environmental peace in the Quran are four main subjects to be discussed in the two days seminar.

Prof. Ahtisham Ahmad Nizami, Director of K .A. Nizami centre for Quranic Studies, AMU is the convener of the seminar.
