Compilation of Mahdavi Encyclopedia Urged
“This would be a great and valuable move that should be undertaken by a group of researchers and scholars,” Ayatollah Reza Ostadi said, while addressing the second assembly of the Mahdism Scientific Society in Qom Seminary.
Mahdism refers to the belief that Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent) will reappear at the end of time and spreads justice in the world.
Ayatollah Ostadi said despite all the efforts made in the field of Mahdism, a comprehensive work has yet to be presented.
The senior cleric stressed that fundamental work is needed for surveying and authenticating the Hadiths that are related to Imam Mahdi (AS) and Mahdism.
Ayatollah Ostadi further urged the seminaries to review and books about Mahdism introduce them to people.
Establishing a specialized library of works on Mahdism was another necessity in this field, he stated.
He went on to say that activists in the field of Mahdism need Ikhlas (purity of intention) in order to succeed in their mission, which is promotion of Islam.
