Congress of Martyred Quranic Activists Planned

A congress of the martyred Quranic activists is planned to be held later this year.

Rahimd Qorbani, head of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the IRGC’s Muhammad Rasulullah Division made the announcement on the sidelines of a ceremony held to commemorate the martyred Quranic activists of Tehran province, Fars News reported.

The ceremony was held Wednesday, January 15, at the international conferences center of Tehran’s Milad Tower.

Qorbani said the congress aims to honor the families of martyrs, introduce the Quranic lifestyle patterns, and foster Quranic insight in society.

He also noted that at first only 23 martyred Quranic figures had been identified in Tehran province but the number rose to 205.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Qorbani said 25 Quranic documentaries have been produced by the center on the theme of martyrs.
