According to Al-Riyadh newspaper, representatives from government and private institutes actively involved in Quranic affairs in various parts of the world will present Quranic researches in the program.
Investigating publication of the Holy Quran as the Divine Book deserves, determining main principles and frameworks in this respect as well as an appropriate method for publication of the Holy Quran, revising Quran publication methods and facilitating interaction among experts in this field are among the objectives of the seminar.
The three-day international event will focus on five main themes including “history of Quran publication”, “scientific aspects of Quran publication”, “techniques of art in printing and publication of Quran”, “application of modern technologies in Quran publication” and “King Fahd Complex’s efforts in printing and publication of the Quran”.
The participants at the program will investigate the history of Quran publication in Europe, East Asia, India, Africa and other parts of the world, printing and publication of Quran, including online and Braille copies, in Uthmani script and activities of scientific committees for revision of the printed copies of the Quran.
Quran publication in Braille, the role of computer programs and software products in Quran publication and inserting number of the verses, Juzes (parts), etc. and the methods of protecting digital copies of the Holy Quran from alternation will also be among the themes to be discussed at the program.
A specialized Quran exhibition has been planned to be held on the sidelines of the seminar to showcase rare Quran copies in the world, the copies of the Holy Quran published by orientalists, translations of the Holy Quran and digital Quran copies.
