News ID: 1372159
Thousands of Bahrainis held a rally in a village near the capital Manama on Friday.

They called for formation of a government that is representative of the entire Bahraini nation, Al-Alam news network reported.
They also called for the resignation of Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The demonstrators carried banners reading “We Are Victorious” and Hayhat Minna Al-Zilla (Woe unto the Wretched).
At the end of the rally, the participants issued a statement saying that the judiciary and legislative branches of power should be independent and the government should be formed based on the nation’s will.
Bahrain has been the scene of demonstrations since mid-February 2011. Thousands of pro-democracy protesters have staged numerous demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling for the Al Khalifa family to relinquish power.
Following the eruption of the protests, the Bahraini regime promptly launched a brutal crackdown on the peaceful protests and called in Saudi-led Arab forces from neighboring states to assist the suppression.
Dozens of Bahraini people have been killed in the crackdown, and the security forces have arrested hundreds, including doctors and nurses.
