Slated for August 30, it will be organized by the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), the website of the Astan reported.
The organizing committee recently held a meeting to discuss coordinating activities in preparation for the conference.
It was attended by Sayyid Afdhal Shami, the deputy of the Astan, Sayyid Jamal Shahrestani, the Astan’s public relations officer, and a number of other officials.
The Astan of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine has invited a number of religious and cultural figures from Iraq and other countries to take part in the upcoming conference.
Papers submitted to the conference secretariat ought to be not more than 20 pages and should include abstracts in English and Arabic.
The deadline for submitting full papers is June 15, according to the secretariat of the international event.
