Vali Yarahmadi, head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Center said the contests will start on April 29, the organization’s website reported.
Some 550 individuals who have won the top titles in the preliminary stages will take part in the 6-day competitions, he added.
He said the competitions are going to be organized by the center in cooperation with the governor general and Friday prayers leader of Abadan.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Yarahmadi underlined that paying special attention to Adhan, as an Islamic symbol and an invitation to prayers can help to promote the Islamic culture and that is why it has been emphasized in the contests.
