According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Tunisia, Nowruzi will compete in the recitation category along with memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of the holy Quran at this edition of the contest.
Peyman Ayazi will also represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the category of memorization of the entire Quran.
The two are accompanied by Mo’taz Aghayi, Iranian Quran expert.
His presence at this event, which has been arranged in cooperation with Iran's Organization of Awqaf and Charity Affairs, Quran Supreme Council and Iranian Cultural Center in Tunisia, has provided a good opportunity to exchange experiences with Quran activists of different countries.
Winners of the international competition will be awarded by Munsif Al-Marzuqi, President of Tunisia, in a ceremony on Friday, May 9.
The 4th edition of Tunisia’s International Holy Quran Award, named after Allamah Ahmed bin Ammar Al-Mahdawi, began on May 3 in the town of El Bradaa.
Organized in cooperation with Tunisia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, the competition is underway with the participation of 44 Quran memorizers and Qaris from 21 countries.
