The Quran and Etrat deputy of Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said a Quranic week is planned to be held for every province in the country.

Speaking on Quran Radio's Ofogh (horizon) program, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati said the provincial Quran weeks feature programs like Quran exhibitions, competitions, honoring Quran activists, etc.
He said the Quran weeks in ten provinces will be held concurrent with the 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran.
The cleric added that the rest of the province will organize the weeks on religious and national occasions.
Referring to the International Quran Expo, Hojat-ol-Islam Heshmati said this year's edition will begin a few days before the start of the holy month of Ramadan and will run for 20 days.
He said the event will conclude with a ceremony of honoring those who have served the Holy Quran.
As for the venue of the expo, he said it will probably be held in a place other than the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla (prayers hall) which until last year hosted the event.
