What the Muslim world needs today is reflecting on the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), a Sudanese scholar said.

Addressing the opening ceremony of “Sibt-un-Nabi” International Congress on Sunday, Sheikh Ali Hashim Al-Siraj urged Muslims all around the world to contemplate the religious teachings that the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) promoted.
He further referred to the Hadith al-Thaqalayn, and underlined the significant status of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
According to Hadith al-Thaqalayn, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is quoted saying: "I am leaving among you the Two Weighty Things: the Book of Allah and my `Itrat (Progeny), my Ahlul Bayt. So long as you (simultaneously) uphold both of them, you will never be misled after me; so, do not go ahead of them else you should perish, and do not lag behind them else you should perish".
The “Sibt-un-Nabi” International Congress got underway Sunday morning in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Different themes including Imam Hassan's (AS) imamate, his Seerah and his lifestyle will be discussed in the five committees of the congress.
The main objective of the two-day international congress is to introduce the virtues of Imam Hassan (AS), the second infallible Imam, to the world.
