Russian Quran Scholar, Artists to Attend Tehran Int'l Quran Exhibit

The Russian Federation will send three representatives to the 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran.

Islam Amirovich Zarifov, prayers leader of Moscow's grand mosque, will deliver a speech at the expo titled "A Look at Contemporary Quranic Activities and Studies in Russia", IQNA's Europe branch reported.
Zarifov is a senior scholar with the Islamic Studies Center of Tatarstan's Academy of Sciences and also teaches Quran interpretation and theology at the Islamic College of Moscow.
The two Russian artists set to attend the Quran expo are Rinat Simkin and Marat Maqsudov.
Simkin is a painter and graphic designer who has attended different Islamic activities in Russia.
Maqsudov is a renowned Muslim architect who has designed the Mihrab, minaret and the exterior design of a great many mosques in Russia.
He and Simkin will present some of their works at the international Holy Quran exhibit.
The international section of the exhibition is set to kick off on Sunday, July 6.
