Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati added that launching the portal is one of several national plans being implemented by the Quran and Etrat deputy, IRNA reported.
The portal will offer information about the country's Quran activists, Quranic institutes and Quranic activities.
Hojat-ol-Islam Heshmati noted that information about Quranic figures and institutes in different provinces is being collected for the portal.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the culture ministry's Quranic official referred to this year's international Quran exhibition as a successful event which was received well by people despite the change in the location and the warm weather.
He noted that given the warm reception by people, the exhibition was extended two times at the request of the culture minister and Tehran mayor.
Hojat-ol-Islam Heshmati further thanked the Tehran municipality, police force, subway company, emergency services, and Holy Defense Garden Museum for their contributions to the Quran expo.
The 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition was held at the Holy Defense Garden-Museum from June 24 until July 23.
