Quranic centers of the Muslim world should raise people’s awareness about extremist ideologies and prevent them from falling into the trap of extremism.

This is according to Iraqi media activist Taysir Saeed al-Assadi who also told IQNA that Quranic institutes play an important role in establishing the Islamic culture in society.
He said in the current conditions in which certain people are attempting to distort the image of Islam by exploiting its teachings and spreading violence, Islamic world’s Quranic centers have a huge responsibility to show the correct image of Islam to the world and foil the attempts aimed at distorting the religion’s image.
Al-Assadi underlined that incorrect interpretation of the Quran’s concepts is a problem facing the Islamic world and that Quranic institutes should make efforts, by promoting the teachings of the Quran, to prevent it.
He went on to say that in order to institutionalize the Quranic culture in society, Quran teaching should start from an early age.
