--The second section of Nemuneh Exegesis of the holy Quran will be translated and published in Albanian by Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in Albania.
This is according to Mr. Haj Khezr, the university’s representative in the country. He told IQNA that the first section of Nemuneh Quran Exegesis by grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi was published in Albanian last year and translation of the second section is expected to be completed this year.
Expounding on Al-Mustafa International University’s activities in the South European country, Mr. Haj Khezr said that the majority of the Quranic activities in Albania are conducted by the university.
He said it launched a Quran center in the country in 2000 with the aim of promoting the Quranic culture in the Balkans.
“Our Quranic activities in Albania are conducted in three fields of education, research and promotion of Quranic teachings,” he said. “With the help of 25 Quran masters, the Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in Albania is providing Quranic education to 1000 people in ten regions of the country. There are 75 courses underway featuring Quran reading, Tajweed, recitation, Quranic concepts and memorization. We also hold Quran teachers training courses in institutes affiliated to Albania’s Quran Center.”
Holding Quran competitions, sending Quran reciters and memorizers to international Quranic events, publishing specialized Quranic periodicals, and producing Quranic radio and TV programs, holding the international Quran and Hadith Olympiad, translating Islamic and Quranic books, and organizing regional and national seminars are among other activities of the university in Albania, he went on to say.
Al-Mustafa International University is an Iranian academic center with many overseas branches for non-Iranian Muslims who seek to study Islam and related subjects.
