According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, Beliaevo Gallery of the city is hosting the international event which will run for one month.
Representatives from eight countries and different parts of the Federation of Russia have participated at the event presenting their national traditions and works of art.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Marina Boshoyuvo, head of the gallery noted that the festival is aimed at protecting the country's national culture and traditions, promoting culture and traditional arts of different regions in Russia and other countries and identifying talented artists.
She expressed hope for boosting cooperation between the Gallery and the Iranian center in the future.
Also speaking at the program, Abuzar Ebrahimi Turkaman, Iranian cultural attache in Moscow, said that art and culture is the common language of all nations.
Stressing that there is a hidden sense of spirituality in the Iranian works of art offered at the event, he said that the presented artworks have been well received.
It has been organized by Department of Culture of Moscow, Artists Association of Decorative Arts, Moscow State University of Design and Technology, State Russian House of Folk Art and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Moscow.
The 1st festival of arts and crafts called "Unforgotten Craft" was established in 2008 under the initiative "group delay" Gallery Belyaevo in order to maintain the continuity and development of the artistic traditions of the peoples of Russia and the world. In 2009, the festival has gained international status and received a more accurate name "Unforgotten Tradition”.
The 5th International Festival "unforgotten tradition of 2012" will continue until January 27, 2013.
