This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Saleh, cultural-education deputy of the university who also told IQNA that the Olympiad has played a unique role in promotion of the Quranic culture.
He referred to the 18th edition of the Olympiad slated to be held later this year, saying that the event has been an organized and efficient one which has been on a path of progress since its first edition.
A council comprising Quran masters, university scholars and Quranic managers of Al-Mustafa International University, has been set up to organize the Olympiad, the official said, adding “We are certain that the Quran and Hadith Olympiad improves every year compared to the year before.”
He noted after holding every edition, experts consider different aspects of the Olympiad and identify the possible weaknesses, trying to remove them for the future editions.
Hojat-ol-Islam Saleh referred to the Olympiad as a great Quranic achievement for Al-Mustafa International University, saying it is an opportunity for some 10,000 students of the university to improve their Quranic studies and activities.
It generates a Quranic atmosphere among the students and their families, he underlined.
Head of the Olympiad’s policy-making council hoped that it will also be held in the cyberspace in the future.
He underlined that the Quran and Hadith Olympiad has presented a model to institutions religious students and the university’s graduates in different countries.
Identifying Quranic talents, honoring them and enhancing their Quranic aspects has also been among the major roles of the Olympiad, he went on to say.
