Sudan's Int’l Quran Competition to Conclude Tonight

The closing ceremony of the 4th edition of Sudan’s International Holy Quran Competition will be held tonight, January 13, in the capital city of Khartoum.
According to furqan.sd wesbite, 53 memorizers of the Holy Quran from different countries attended the competition held under the supervision of Sudanese President Hassan Al-Bashir.
The ceremony will begin at Al-Sidaqa Hall in the capital city at 7 p.m. local time.
Khartoum International Holy Quran Award was established in 2007 at the order of President Al-Bashir.
The 4th edition of the international competition began on January 7 at the central building of Sudan’s Holy Quran Society in Khartoum.
Headed by Samih Ahmad Al-Khalid from Jordan, the jury panel of the contest comprised of Quran experts from Morocco, Algeria and Sudan.
Hassan Zarnushe Farahani who represented Islamic Republic of Iran in the contest had a good performance on second day of the event.
