According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, screening Iranian movies and mounting exhibitions of Iran’s tourist and sacred sites, Iranian achievements, visual arts and artworks including calligraphy, illumination and calligraphic-painting are among the various parts of the weeklong program.
The week began on February 6 at Al-Hamra Hall of the city in cooperation with General Office of Cultural and Art Activities and Art Section of Islamic Disseminations Organization.
The opening ceremony was attended by Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor,a Punjab minister, Abbas Famouri, Iranian Cultural Attaché and head of the Iran’s Cultural Center in Lahore, and cultural, academic and political figures.
It was addressed by Rana Sanaullah, Punjab’s Minister of Law, who congratulated the participants on the 34th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Referring to the historical relations between Iran and Pakistan, he stressed that the relations should develop and considering the Islamic Revolution in Iran as a good model for other Islamic countries, he stated that the Islamic Republic has achieved great successes in various fields since the victory of the revolution.
