In its session on Tuesday, February 12, the council tasked the science and technology deputy of the president to organize the award.
Based on the approval, scientists, especially those in the Muslim world, who have innovations in different scientific and technological fields are identified and honored.
The award is aimed at encouraging scientists and scholars in the international scene and in the Muslim world.
During the Tuesday session, which was presided over by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the participants praised the Iranian nation for their massive presence in rallies marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
They regarded the huge turnout as a symbol of national unity and solidarity and the Iranian people’s support for the Islamic Revolution and the Supreme Leader.
Members of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution also commemorated late Dr Hassan Habibi, former member of the council who passed away earlier this month.
