UOIF Condemns Desecration of Mosques in France
The Union of Islamic Organizations of France issued a statement condemning attacks on five mosques in the country by Islamophobic elements.
In the statement, the union warned against the rise of Islamophobia in the country, its website uoif-online reported.
It called on cultural and political officials in France to try to put an end to the wave of attacks on Islamic centers of worship.
Security forces ought to do their outmost efforts to identify and bring to justice those who committed these acts and prevent further attacks, the union stressed.
It also urged French Muslims to exercise restraint and remain calm in order to prevent tensions in the French society.
