Preliminary Stage of Morocco’s Nat’l Quran Competition Slated for April

The preliminary stage of Morocco’s national Quran contest will be held on April 25, 2013.
According to habous website, the city of Assa Zag will host the contest and the winners will make it to the final stage.
The country’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry has announced that the contest will be held in the categories of memorization of entire Quran, recitation of the Quran in Moroccan style along with memorization of 5 Hezbs (parts), and memorization of the Quran in Arabic style along with memorization of 5 Hezbs.
It said all of the country’s citizens aged between 7 and 40 who have not won the top titles of the contest in the previous years are eligible to take part in the national event.
The final stage of the competition will be organized in the capital city of Rabat during the holy month of Ramadan (July).
