Printing and distributing Iran’s Mus’haf (Quran copies) will foil false and baseless allegations that Shia Muslims have distorted the Quran.
Supreme Leader’s Advisor in Muslim World Affairs Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the move will be a response to unfounded the accusation that the Quran of Shia Muslims is different from that of others.
He underlined that the accusation is totally false, adding that Shi’ites have always defended the Quran throughout history.
Ayatollah Taskhiri noted that when Iran’s Mus’haf is distributed in other countries, Muslims will see for themselves that the Quran printed in the Islamic Republic of Iran is the same the Quran they read in their own country and thus will no longer heed rumors and allegations against Shi’ites.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senior cleric highlighted the major role of university students and scholars to introduce the character of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
He underlined that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the role model for all Muslims and the pivot of Islamic unity.
