This is according to Iraqi MP Karim Aliwi Al-Muhamadawi, who, while speaking in a session of the parliament, also urged Islamic countries to try to stop Quran sacrilege and destroying mosques by Bahraini and Saudi forces in Bahrain.
He condemned the silence over these acts of sacrilege and regarded t as sectarian support for the Al-e Khalifa regime.
“Most Islamic countries, especially Arab states, have adopted a disgraceful stance over desecration of sanctities in Bahrain,” he said. “While acts of blasphemy in other countries are condemned by holding protest rallies, we do not see any reactions to the Quran sacrilege in Bahrain.”
Bahrain’s security forces, who are backed by forces from Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf countries, on Thursday, March 14, attacked the Sheikh Ibrahim Mosque in Al-Daya region and fired suffocating gas into the mosque to prevent worshippers from saying prayers.
