Issuing a statement, it called on everyone to stand united against such blasphemies and express their support for the truth, justice and moral virtues, Al-Dastour daily reported.
The movement said what makes the move even more intolerable is that it took place in a center of knowledge named after the Al Al-Bayt (AS).
“It shows moral decadence has reached a point where even religious teachings and human values are attacked.”
Recently, a group called “Abdat-ul-Shaytan” (Satan worshippers) has committed acts of Quran sacrilege in different parts of Jordan, including in Al Al-Bayt (AS) University.
Sheikh Jamal Al-Batayina, a Jordanian Awqaf official in Zarqa province has called on the country’s parliament to pass laws to prevent such groups from insulting religious sanctities.
He has said while Quran sacrilege in non-Muslim countries draws anger and fury in the Muslim world, it is a tragedy to see that deviated groups in Islamic countries defile the Holy Book.
