Heydar Javdan, director of Quran TV’s competitions and special occasions department said the Quran TV will cover the competition, which is slated to be held in Tehran from May 31 to June7.
The event’s coverage will include the opening ceremony on May 31 and the closing function on May 7, he stated.
The official noted that the contest itself will begin at 4 P.M. every day and end at 10 P.M.
He said there has been coordination with other TV channels, such as Sahar TV, Jam-e Jam, Tehran, and Al-Kawsar, for them to introduce the international Quranic event and cover parts of it as well.
According to Mr. Javdan, the Quran TV’s special programs on the 30th International Holy Quran Competition will begin a few days before the event kicks off in Tehran. “These programs include interviews with the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization about the organization of the contest.
He went on to say that the Congress for Honoring Women Quran Activists, which is scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the international Quran contest, will also be covered by the Quran TV.
