The Largest Mosque of the Country Opened in Kazakhstan

The largest mosque in southern Kazakhstan opened in Shymkent, DailyNews.kz. reports.
The mosque accommodates three thousand people. Charitable foundation of the United Arab Emirates Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan financed the construction, based on the agreement for cooperation between the two countries.
The mosque is located in the western part of the city, and occupies 2.69 hectares of land area. The area of the mosque itself - 8516 m2.
The cost of the project is 1 billion 622 million tenge ($ 1 = 151.08 tenge). The building includes rooms for ablution, prayer and Imam’s home.
