15000 Quran Schools Begin Summer Quran Courses in Algeria

15000 Quran schools in different cities in Algeria began their summer Quran courses on Friday, June 7.
The Quranic courses are held for children and teenagers who have finished their school exam and started their summer holidays, letempsdz website reported.
On the sidelines of the Quran courses, the participants take part in Quran recitation and memorization competitions and top winners make it to the national Quran competition for children and teenagers.
It will be organized along with Algeria’s International Holy Quran Competition during the holy month of Ramadan.
On the objective of Quran courses underway in 15000 centers across Algeria, Yusuf Bumahdi, director of Islamic Guidance Department in the country’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry, said that among other things, the courses are aimed at identifying top talents in the fields of Quran memorization and recitation.
He also noted that the courses are not limited to summer but those interested could continue learning the Quran in these centers and prepare themselves for national and international Quran competitions.
