By Declaring Int’l Quds Day, Imam Khomeini (RA) Raised Banner of Islam

By declaring the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day, Imam Khomeini (RA) raised the banner of Islam.
Friday prayers leader of Najaf, Iraq, made the remark in his Friday prayers sermon yesterday, adding that the plan Imam Khomeini (RA) led for confronting Israel was the right one.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyed Sadreddin Qabanchi said Israel is a regime founded on aggression and bloodshed.
He said the Zionist regime is an illegitimate regime that does not respect the views of nations.
He underlined that was shakes the foundations of Israel is the calls of the faithful for liberation of Palestine.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qabanchi referred to attempts to making the issue of Palestine an Arab issue, stressing that Palestine is an Islamic issue and the Muslim world must have an effective role in it.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senior Iraqi cleric pointed to the violence in Iraq and said the attacks are aimed at stalemating the political process in the country.
