Recently, Stavropol Regional Court confirmed the decision of the demolition of two mosques in the city of Kislovodsk, located in the townships Belorechensky and Industriya, Russia.
Both mosques were built on the donations of people. Muslims intend to take an appeal to a higher court against the decision of the mosques demolition, the press service of the regional Mufti reports.
Muslims will perform collective prayer at the central square of Pyatigorsk town on September 20. Mufti Muhammad Rakhimov emphasizes the peaceful nature of the planned action. Currently it is under the coordination with the authorities.
The purpose of the action is to draw the authorities' attention to the problems of the Muslims.
The main problem of the Muslim community is the absence of the mosque in the capital of the North-Caucasian Federal District. The mosque of Pyatigorsk town is an important object to form diplomatic relations with neighboring republics, where the majority of the population is Muslims.
