Qatar Takes Part in Quran Contest

Qatar is taking part in a Quran memorization and recitation contest, currently under way in Tunisia.

Qatar is represented by contester Abdurrahman Mohamed Al Sawadi which will compete in a contest for the memorization of the whole holy Quran.
Forty-four male and female contestants from 24 Muslim countries are taking part in the contest which started on Saturday and continue until August 28.
The last participation by Qatari contestants was at the Algerian international holy Quran contest in which Abdul Aziz Al Hamri won the first position.
