Hojat-ol-Islam Abdul Reza Mahmoudi, head of the Islamic Teachings Department of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, told IQNA that invitations have been sent for intellectuals in Egypt, Syria, Bahrain, Turkey, the UK and America so far.
The international event will take place on January 22 and 23 at the university and the deadline for sending papers to the secretariat of the congress is November 6.
Mahmoudi said that the program aims to create unity among different groups, particularly seminary and academic centers in this field of study and following a meeting with seminary lecturers, the organizers of the congress decided to make use of the potentials of the young generation of seminarians in this program to promote scientific productions.
Health in Nabawi Seerah, treatment and Nabawi Seerah, medical ethics in Seerah Nabawi, medical education in Seerah Nabawi, analysis and evaluation of Hadiths on medical issues and the role and status of Islamic civilization in development of medical sciences are some of the themes of the congress.
Taking into account the guidelines of the Supreme Leader on the lifestyle, “the status of health in Islamic lifestyle” has been selected as the special theme of the congress.

The congress will be held in two sections for university students and lecturers.
He further expressed hope that the congress will be influential in the introduction and dissemination of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Seerah.
