A number of Air Force officials including the commander of the force general Hassan Shahsafi and head of the army’s Ideo-political Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Ali Alehashem were present at the ceremony.
Hojat-ol-Islam Alehashem in a speech hailed the organization of the contest during the Karamat Ten-day celebrations (marking the birth anniversaries of Hazrat Masouemh (SA) and Imam Reza (AS)).
He pointed to the Quranic programs and activities in the army and said holding Quran and Etrat competition by the army was a very positive move which should continue.
The cleric also noted that thanks to the Islamic Revolution and the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA) and then Imam Khamenei, the Quranic culture has spread all over the country.
“Today, our enemies are fearful of the Quran and spread of Islam in the world,” Hojat-ol-Islam Alehashem, said, stressing that Quranic activities should spread further in the society and in the army.
Later in the program, winners of the 13th edition of the competition were introduced and awarded.
