Nat’l Quran Competition in France
A national Quran competition is planned to be held in France in December.
The competition will be organized by the Dar Al-Athariya Islamic Publications, athariya-coran website reported.
The categories include recitation of the Quran and memorization of ten Surahs, the 30th Juz (section) of the Quran, five Hizbs (the entire Quran has 120 Hizbs), 15 Hizbs, half of the Quran and the entire Quran.
Those living in Paris or nearby cities will be asked to go to the grand mosque in Paris to take part in the preliminary stage of the competition. Those from other cities and areas can attend the first stage via the internet.
The organizers of the contest have announced October 31 as the registration deadline for the spiritual event.
One of the mosques in the capital city will host the final stage of the national competition in early November.
Winners of the first title in different categories will be awarded pilgrimage packages to Umrah (minor)) Hajj.
