“Beliefs and Teachings” Contest in India

A contest on beliefs and teachings was held by Imamiyyah Religious and Educational Institute on September 20 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh State of India.
According to IQNA’s branch in West Asia, Mohammad Hussein Qomi, organizer of the competition, said that it is planned for the youth and teenagers of the region every year.
Mohammad Ali Shah Husseyniyyah in the city hosted the contest and the closing ceremony which was attended by a number of Indian scholars and intellectuals.
Seerah of Imam Reza (AS) was clarified at the ceremony addressed by Hojat-ol-Islam Amir Heydar.
He said that development of different sciences in the period of the Imam (AS) resulted in the formation of various intellectual, theological and philosophical schools which was followed by serious challenges against the noble Islamic beliefs and teachings.
The scholar added that Imam Reza (AS) tried to make the best use of the opportunity to clarify the true principles of Islam and direct the society to the right path.
