President’s First Remarks in New York
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hojat-ol-Islam Hassan Rouhani arrived in New York to attend the UN General Assembly.
After arriving at JFK Airport, Hojat-ol-Islam Rouhani talked to reporters about the objectives and programs of his trip, the website of the president’s office reported.
He said that as well as addressing the UN General Assembly, the Disarmament Conference and the meeting of Non Aligned Movement’s Foreign Ministers, he plans to hold talks with leaders of regional countries and several other countries.
Dr Rouhani will also meet with US thinkers, media managers, Muslim leaders, leaders of Divine faiths, and Iranians living the US.
Rouhani will attend the opening session of the UN General Assembly on September 24. The Iranian president will make his speech later in the day.
