Crimean Muslim League "Insaf” urged the authorities to contribute to solving the problems of the ban on pasting pictures in a headscarf in passport and driver’s license.
As told at a press conference in Simferopol representatives of the organization, Muslim women of Ukraine, in particular Crimea, face a ban of the Interior Ministry regarding pasting into documents of photographs of women in a headscarf.
In case of refusal, officials refer to the order of Ministry of Internal Affairs and verbal orders of authorities.
"We contend that this order is not a law of Ukraine and cannot limit the right of religious freedom. There is no such a law, which prohibits practicing the religion, in particular to wear a headscarf.” said the representatives of the league.
