Interior Minister Abdul Reza Rahmani-Fazli described the Islamic Republic of Iran as a role model for religious governance in the world.
Speaking at a ceremony held to introduce the new governor of Ilam province, Rahmani-Fazli added that the Islamic Iran is proving Imam Khomeini’s theory that religion can rule.
He underlined that the Islamic Republic’s model of governance, which was introduced by Imam Khomeini (RA) can bring salvation in this world and the next.
The interior minister noted that the two schools of governance (communism and capitalism), one of which advocated freedom and the other advocated justice, have both failed, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now the harbinger of both freedom and justice.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Rahmani-Fazli stressed the importance of maintaining religious values such as Hijab and Ifaf in society and highlighted the role of universities and government bodies in upholding these values.
In this ceremony, Mohammad Reza Morvarid was introduced as the new governor of Ilam province replacing Abbas-zadeh Meshkini.
