Iraq’s Interior Ministry Lauds Ayatollah Sistani’s Anti-terrorism Stance
Iraq’s Interior Ministry issued a statement praising grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani for his anti-terrorism stand.
The ministry said the grand Ayatollah’s stance, which was clarified by his representative Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalayi in Friday prayer sermons at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), is worthy of praise.
Grand Ayatollah Sistani has encouraged Iraqi citizens to help security forces in fighting terrorism in the country.
He has also appreciated Iraq’s interior ministry and security forces for their efforts to establish security and uphold unity among Iraqis.
The ministry said the grand Ayatollah has proven to be a great defender of unity among Iraqis from different races and ethnic backgrounds.
Iraq has been the scene of deadly terrorist attacks in recent months.
