TEHRAN (IQNA) - A computer Quranic center has been opened for Palestinian youth in Khan Yunis camp aiming to identify the Quranic talents of the younger generation and promote their Quranic skills.

According to the website of Khan Yunis Dar-ol-Quran, the main objective of the center is to meet the basic needs of the Palestinian refugees, particularly the youth, to get familiar with modern technologies.

The center provides an opportunity for the people, who are living a difficult life in the camp, to attend online educational courses and get informed of the latest information and sciences.
It plans to get the youth involved in Quranic activities, teach them research methods and promote their skills to search various Quranic fields applying modern technologies.
Art and sport activities have also been planned among the programs of the center.
Khan Yunis Camp was established after the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, accommodating roughly 35,000 Palestinian refugees. On 3 November 1956, the camp and city of Khan Yunis were occupied by the Zionist. In the ensuing operation, about 275 people were killed, including 140 refugees from the camp.
According to UNRWA, many of the camp's residents have lost their homes as a result of operations by the Zionist regime’s military.
