According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein's (AS) holy shrine, the office has presented 350 book titles in various fields including jurisprudence, history, Quran interpretation, literature, Quranic sciences and religious social and scientific issues.
Ali Javad Kadhim, in charge of the pavilion of the office at the exhibition said that it is the seventh time that the Research Center affiliated to the Sunni Awaqaf Office participates at the book fair.
He added that the main objective of the office is to disseminate the message of brotherhood and unity and announce that the enemies of Islam cannot create division and hatred among the Iraqi Muslims.
He thanked the custodians of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) and appreciated their efforts in organization of the exhibition.
Hundreds of publication institutes from different parts of the world have been invited to participate in the book fair which has been held from May 13 on the sidelines of the 11th edition of “Rabee’-ul-Shahadah” international festival in Karbala.
The two-week exhibition will run until May 27 in the holy city.
